The Valigonda to Kukkadam doubling project involves doubling the railway track between Valigonda and Kukkadam stations, a 75 km stretch, as part of the larger Guntur-Bibinagar doubling project in the Guntur division of South Central Railway, including electrification and signaling works.
The Gowthami Godavari Railway Bridge is part of the Kotipalli-Narasapur railway line project in Andhra Pradesh. This ambitious project aims to connect the fertile Konaseema region with a robust railway network. The bridge is a significant component of this project, spanning 3.5 KM across the Gowthami River.
The railway line project covers a distance of 57 kilometers and is being executed in phases. The bridge itself features a superstructure with a span arrangement of 44×76.20 meters, using steel open web girders, along with approach via duct spans and earthwork on both sides.
